Me-OW! Wild for Animal Print in a Predatory Way
One of my latest obsessions is animal print. IMHO, animal print sends the message that you are adventurous and exciting and is another bold way to express yourself in fashion. For the last couple of years it has been a top trend that I often use to style up a neutral palette or add some spice to a plain suit. As time goes on, it’s become a staple in my wardrobe. This outfit shows how to use a print to bring out your inner lioness at work. This leopard print blouse can be paired with a burgundy colored Jcrew blazer and pant separate or also with a black leather skirt or leather paper bag pants.
If you are feeling less committal to the animal print trend, I suggest branching out with the wild print in a scarf, shoe, or Leopard Gloves. That said, a print jacket or coat are other not-so-subtle options for making an impression, and add some prints to your wardrobe.
Prints for the Spring
Snake Skin This winter, and going into the spring, expect to see snake skin on trend in neutral and bright colors. This blouse is a subtle way to add some snake print to your office wardrobe, but I really love this DVF turtleneck to add flavor to a dark, dull suit. To start, think about making subtle changes to your already existing wardrobe. For example, a scarf can accent a plain black, tan, or green dress, or a sleeveless blouse can accent a plain navy suit. A favorite of mine for a business casual look, this Michael Kors Graphic Animal patchwork print dress. I love the color and style as an incredible option for a day to night look.
Zebra Print is another favorite as we move into the spring. As a wilder print, this wrap dress is great for an office that has a more business casual atmosphere. Some drop earrings and bright colored pumps can add a fun and creative look. Additionally, I love a good black and white ensemble, and a zebra print scarf can perfectly finish off a look like a boss.

Animal print: trendy to tacky if you overdo it
A basic monochromatic palette of all black, all cream, all camel, or all red with a hint of print works. Or go dichromatic with a white shirt and black pants while adding some print to the look as a staple. This blouse can be paired with jeans or black pants for an easy way to dress up a plain more casual outfit or a black pencil skirt or cigarette pant when in the office.
Another option is to go “mono-print-matic” in a dress like this, finish with a black or nude heel and you are ready to roar into the office.
